Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 16, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 122,547 Ahold common shares in the period from May 9, 2011 up to and including May, 13, 2011.
The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.5195 per share for a total consideration of € 1.17 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 8,984,621 common shares for a total consideration of € 85.26 million.
