Greenberg is also currently the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management CRM Centre of Excellence and sits on the Board of Advisors for the Enterprise 2.0 Conference.

BroadVision Director of Product Strategy, Richard Hughes, will lead a discussion with Greenberg, focusing on social CRM and how companies are using technology to engage customers. Greenberg will provide a short presentation, followed by a Q&A with Hughes and audience members.

The event will take place at the Hilton Boston Back Bay, with drinks and reception beginning at 5:30pm and the speaking session beginning at 6:30pm. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with industry leaders and executives, and the event will also feature a raffle, giving attendees the opportunity to win a free iPad.

"Traditionally, CRM has been about managing customers," said Paul Greenberg, author, blogger and CRM expert. "Today, Social CRM is about engaging with the customer, and it's one of the biggest 'Enterprise 2.0' technology trends. At this event I look forward to challenging some of the traditional notions of CRM and engaging the audience in a lively dialogue."

Previous guests have included founder of Altimeter Group, Charlene Li; Head of Community Development for LEGO, Tormod Askildsen; author Geoffrey Moore; and marketing and social media expert, Brian Solis.

"Social CRM is about more than just making sure the customer care team is connected with the rest of the organization. And it's much more than just monitoring social media sites to gauge customer opinions," said Richard Hughes. "It is clear that there are a number of opinions and misconceptions about what it really is and how to get there, so this discussion promises to be an interesting one."
