Cision also introduced the Cision Index, a public, online portal offering ongoing analysis, metrics and commentary that track how the quality and reach of earned media – and the development of perception-shaping, game-changing messages – impact the reputations of thirty major global brands.

Cision Global Analysts represents a distinct business unit that fully integrates the company's research experts, services and tools under one umbrella. It will be led by General Manager K. C. Brown, most recently Cision's Senior Vice President, Analysis Services. The business unit will operate from Chicago (world headquarters and regional hub for the Americas), London and Shanghai (regional hubs for Europe and Asia/Pacific, respectively), and it plans to expand its global footprint.

"Cision Global Analysts consolidates and extends our media outcome research expertise across the globe," said Hans Gieskes, Group President and Chief Executive Officer of Cision. "This business unit offers high-level strategic insights based on Cision's integrated media analysis services and tools to multinational organizations that invest in highly complex global communications campaigns."

"I have a great team with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced experts in the field of media outcome research – skilled at analyzing coverage and conversation trends, identifying important drivers of perception, applying communications analysis to business objectives and strategies, and presenting to senior management," noted K. C. Brown.

"Now, clients who manage multiple geographies, multiple product lines and multiple business units can call on one team, Cision Global Analysts, for tracking, measuring and consulting tailored to their unique requirements. We can give them a unified view and consolidated insights," he said.

The Cision Index

The Cision Index is an ongoing analysis of media coverage conducted by Cision Global Analysts for public consumption and discussion. Designed for public relations professionals and observers of corporate reputation, the Cision Index shows how earned media impacts brands. All data and Cision analysts' insights and observations are freely available on the site, and public comments and guest posts are welcome.

The Index's core study currently looks at thirty top U.S. brands across six key industries, with Cision analysts in both Europe and Asia contributing an international perspective. The Index also will comment on events that impact reputation management and examine research questions.
