Bruegger's Celebrates July 4 Weekend With Fundraiser for Veterans

Bakery Leader Donates Percentage of Proceeds From Big Bagel Bundles to Homes for Our Troops; Sells Patriotic Red, White and Blue Bagels

DALLAS, July 1, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This Independence Day weekend, Bruegger's is waving its patriotic colors.

On Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4, participating Bruegger's locations will donate a portion of proceeds from every purchase of a Big Bagel Bundle to Homes For Our Troops, a non-profit organization that helps severely injured servicemen and servicewomen and their immediate families build a new handicapped accessible home through donations of money, building materials and professional labor.

The Big Bagel Bundles, perfect to take on car trips or to feed houseguests for the long weekend, include 13 bagels of the guest's choice, and two tubs of Bruegger's cream cheese. Through the fundraiser, Bruegger's hopes to help Homes for our Troops raise funds to build up to 40 handicapped accessible homes for disabled veterans.

For the tenth year in a row, the neighborhood bakery will also sell its patriotic (and fun!) red, white and blue bagels to celebrate Independence Day. The tri-colored bagels will be available on July 3 and 4.
