PrimeTime Amusements Expands Domestically and Abroad

Arcade Company Eyes Strategic Partnerships in the U.S. and Growth Opportunities in Africa and South America

Ft Lauderdale, Florida, UNITED STATES

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PrimeTime Amusements, a global operator, seller and event renter of video arcade machines and simulators, is growing both in the United States and internationally thanks to recent strategic partnerships and the expansion of the company's offerings to include consulting. The company, founded in 1992, has traditionally focused on three key areas of business: operations, rentals and sales, but is now offering what it calls "shop fitting," or the capability of managing everything from site assessment to architectural and interior design to choosing the right games to delivering a finished arcade.

"PrimeTime Amusements offers entrepreneurs and facility owners turn-key arcade consulting, planning, installation and operation solutions," said David Goldfarb, president of PrimeTime Amusements. "We can literally put our customers in the arcade business – an industry which has few fixed costs and almost no variables – and help them generate constant cash flow when the right games are in place."

In what Goldfarb refers to as a "hybrid franchise," PrimeTime Amusements is delivering its customers the full arcade consultancy package. One such project is a family entertainment center currently being built and designed in Angola, Africa. When finished, the 15K square-foot location will feature about 200 arcade machines, all being exported directly from PrimeTime Amusements' warehouse in South Florida. Goldfarb describes the project as "turn-key" and says it is one of six similar entertainment centers planned for Africa.

In South America, PrimeTime Amusements has primarily focused on the sales side of its business. To date, the company has sold to nearly every market in South America, including Colombia and various island markets.

"Today's international markets are emerging as ideal locations for game rooms and arcade centers," Goldfarb said. "We see both Africa and South America as untapped markets that are ready to explode as a result of the weak American dollar and a move towards a western lifestyle which includes shopping malls ripe for entertainment centers."

PrimeTime Amusements' foray into Africa and South America is only one piece of the company's growth. The company has also expanded its U.S. presence thanks to key partnerships with companies, such as Johnny Rockets, McDonalds, Muvico, and Xtreme Indoor Karting. The company's most recent venture is with Johnny Rockets, an international restaurant chain that provides the food, fun and friendliness reminiscent of feel-good Americana, at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The 20K square-foot facility, which will be dubbed Johnny Rockets Fun & Games when it opens in August 2011, will include a sports bar, 10K square-foot game room, birthday party rooms, and an expanded menu. Another recent partnership for PrimeTime Amusements was with Muvico Theaters in Hialeah, FL, where two of the venue's 14 theaters were outfitted with a 4,500 square-foot foot game room.

"Our success over the past couple of years can be attributed to PrimeTime Amusements' diversity in our offerings," added Goldfarb. "Between our sales; rentals for any type of personal, corporate or trade event; strategic partnerships with established companies; and now our ability to create a hybrid franchise operation for any customer across the world, we have seen significant growth in the U.S. and abroad."
