CDN Honours MacKinnon for Her Outstanding Leadership, Dedication and Contribution to the Growth and Success of the IT Channel

MISSISSAUGA, ON--(Marketwire - Jul 6, 2011) - Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) today announced that Rose MacKinnon, senior director of sales for Ingram Micro Canada, has been named to the second annual "Women in IT" leadership list developed by Computer Dealer News (CDN). MacKinnon, who was one of only 20 women selected, is responsible for Ingram Micro Canada's retail sales division and has been in the IT industry for more than 20 years. On a personal note, MacKinnon is an enthusiastic hockey mom of two children, both in high school.

According to Mark Snider, vice president and general manager of Ingram Micro Canada, "To know Rose is to know a consummate professional. Her dedication, strong work ethic and unwavering support for fellow IT channel members make her an excellent choice for this award. We thank CDN for this recognition and congratulate Rose."

In selecting MacKinnon, CDN cited her professional dedication and accomplishments, which have had a positive impact on the Ingram Micro channel partner community and the Canadian technology industry overall.

"We are pleased to honour Rose for her outstanding industry leadership and commitment to Canada's IT industry," said Paolo Del Nibletto, editor of CDN. "Her contributions and achievements have elevated the success of Ingram Micro and established a stronger IT community throughout Canada. We congratulate her on her success."

As part of its commitment and support for female IT industry leaders, Ingram Micro Canada is the primary sponsor of CDN's "Women in IT" awards program. An exclusive, executive luncheon will be held in August 2011 to recognize these 20 outstanding women for their leadership roles within technology companies across Canada.

"Ingram Micro is dedicated to growing the Canadian channel community and places a high value on programs such as 'Women in IT,'" adds Snider. "This program will contribute to the professional development of Canada's female IT business leaders and forge a path for other women to follow."
