Sokolove Law General Counsel to Discuss How Social Networking is Transforming Legal Marketing and Raising New Ethical Considerations

Miller will present at the Annual Belli Society Seminar on July 8th in New York City, and also speak on a panel at the 2011 American Association of Justice (AAJ) Annual Convention.

Sokolove Law's objective for these events is to facilitate an open dialogue about the changing face of legal marketing online, including new tactical and ethical considerations, as well as the proliferation of social media. While many media headlines focus on online privacy issues associated with litigation, legal marketing professionals are increasingly using social networking as a way to build relationships with potential clients, educate them on their rights, and build a positive reputation.

The presentation will focus on the opportunities social media presents for the legal industry and guidelines attorneys must follow to comply with legal advertising regulations and other ethical rules.

At the AAJ Annual Convention, Miller will join a panel in the "Marketing Techniques" track to discuss "The Changing Face of Lawyer Marketing in the 21st Century." The panel will address the impact digital marketing is having on the legal profession, including the new opportunity, changing ethics, perception and communication, and overall pros and cons.
