CWTSatoTravel and Northrop Grumman Team on Bid for U.S. General Services Administration E-Gov Travel Services 2 Contract

Partnership Designed to Best Meet Government's Second-Generation Travel Requirements

MCLEAN, Va., July 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CWTSatoTravel, the division of Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) responsible for managing travel for U.S. military and government clients, and Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) today announced a teaming agreement to compete for the provision of end-to-end travel and expense management systems for the U.S. General Services Administration's requirements for E-Gov Travel Services 2 (ETS2).

"The CWTSatoTravel-Northrop Grumman relationship will enhance our ability to offer critical travel and expense management services that are pivotal to a successful and cost-effective ETS2 transition," said Kelly Kuhn, president, CWTSatoTravel. "Moreover, through the development of effective system and data migration plans, this partnership can minimize the cost and service impacts associated with the transition to ETS2."

CWTSatoTravel will serve as the prime contractor, teaming with key subcontractors to apply corporate competencies to ensure a seamless transition to an enhanced E2 Solutions application service for federal agencies. CWTSatoTravel will provide the overall program management, travel management, account management, and system development and support resources necessary to deliver an application service designed to meet government agency travel requirements. Northrop Grumman will commit its system integration, usability engineering and account management resources in delivering travel and expense management services that are well integrated with government agency financial and human resources systems, and leverage existing functionality for unique agency needs.

"With more than eight years of success on the first E-Gov Travel Services program and having developed and deployed the GovTrip Web-based travel service, this strategic partnership will allow Northrop Grumman to focus on its core competency as a systems integrator, allowing for more efficient operations in providing responsive travel and expense management services," said Alan Leckenby, identity and business solutions vice president for Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector.

Northrop Grumman will join a world class team of subcontractors including Sabre/GetThere, Southlake, Texas; GDSX, Allen, Texas; RightNow Technologies, Bozeman, Mont.; and ImageTag, Tempe, Ariz. These subcontractors have supported the E2 Solutions application service throughout the base ETS master contract.

Sabre/GetThere provides their DirectGovernment® online booking engine that is configurable for government travel policies. E2 Solutions is integrated with the GDSX COMPLEAT software enabling seamless integration with major Global Distribution Systems. RightNow Technologies provides a customer experience solution that helps the E2 Solutions Customer Support Center to manage multichannel service incidents in an integrated fashion. It also delivers a dynamic knowledge base essential to a 24/7 self-service capability. ImageTag offers KwikTag®, a transactional content management solution that rapidly captures and stores receipt images within the E2 Solutions travel authorization and voucher system.

CWTSatoTravel has successfully served the U.S. military and government for nearly 60 years, having established a reputation for quality travel management services. Furthermore, the company deployed and serviced more than two dozen federal agencies during ETS1 with the E2 Solution application service.
