Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence Presented to Fort Lauderdale Beach Restaurant

3030 Ocean Among Elite Restaurants Recognized

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - Aug 8, 2011) - Fort Lauderdale's favored 3030 Ocean Restaurant has won kudos from the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine for its fine selection of wines.

Given the nod to receive the coveted Award of Excellence for its 2011 wine list, this popular choice among Las Olas Blvd restaurants joins the list of elite eating establishments whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. To qualify, restaurants must submit their list including vintages and appellations for all selections, including wines available by the glass and a complete list of producer names.

3030 Ocean received the award for offering a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to its menu in both price and style. Maintaining 300 selections and an inventory totaling 3,500, many of the wines were chosen from California producers by the Fort Lauderdale Beach restaurant's experienced and dedicated Wine Director Nicole Jackson.

Boasting a menu that includes exceptionally fresh seafood, along with fine steaks, the fare at 3030 Ocean is prepared with exquisite flavors utilizing all natural and local ingredients. The set of choices at this popular oceanfront restaurant reveals the culinary passion of Executive Chef Dean James Max.

The 2011 list of award winners marks the 30th anniversary of Wine Spectator's Restaurant Awards Program and a full listing of winners will appear in the August 31, 2011 issue of the magazine, now in its 33rd year of publishing.
