RICHARDSON, Texas, Aug. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- KBM Group, the global leader in knowledge-based marketing solutions, has hired Caroline Worboys as Managing Director of the company's U.K. operation. Based in London, Worboys will be a strategic resource to existing clients and will lead business development in the U.K., as well as support KBM Group's other European and global offices as needed. In addition, she will play a major role ensuring KBM Group's close collaboration with Wunderman, KBM Group's corporate parent, to bring a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art data-based solutions to its UK clients.

Worboys appointment coincides with the integration of Wunderman UK's existing data management resources into KBM Group. This consolidation of the two companies' data practices provides the benefits of best-in-class data management and optimization capabilities in an integrated, seamless and strategic fashion and allows Wunderman UK to offer clients a broad, customizable spectrum of the data and marketing services that are critical to today's digitally oriented marketing campaigns.

Worboys' proven entrepreneurial, collegial approach is well-matched to both her new roles, in guiding KBM Group clients with data-based marketing insights and strategies, in working closely with Wunderman UK to incorporate data solutions in marketing and creative campaigns. As the data resource of the Wunderman network, KBM Group will work closely with Wunderman UK, as well as with two other keystones of the agency family: Blast Radius, experts in pure-play digital, and ZAAZ, the online optimization agency.

"Caroline has a superb track record in bringing highly effective data-based marketing solutions to the companies and clients she's worked with, including an understanding and appreciation of how data is integral to customer intelligence and successful customer engagements," says Gary S. Laben, CEO of KBM Group. "In addition, her energy, creativity and foresight have contributed to her industry leadership. We are thrilled to welcome Caroline to KBM Group, where she will play an important role ensuring our clients have state-of-the-art, knowledge-based marketing solutions."

Brendan Tansey, CEO of Wunderman UK, adds, "Caroline will be an excellent partner to our clients, who need strategic counsel on data, analytics and the full range of marketing services in highly integrated relationships. She will be quite an asset to KBM Group as well as to Wunderman and our agency network."

Most recently, Worboys was Managing Director of the Callcredit Information Group's Marketing Solutions division, where she led the delivery of complex services to blue chip clients. She also managed its sale of Callcredit Group to Vitruvian Partners, a venture capital firm. Prior to that, Worboys was CEO of Broadsystem, a customer management business delivering multi-channel customer contact strategies. She also founded HDM Worboys, a database marketing business which managed complex customer data from multiple sources and which served a diverse client base. Having developed a new business model based on service fees rather than transactions, she successfully sold the business to News International.

Worboys is also Chair of the IDM Trust of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing, a leading industry association.
