Acumen Learning Ranked on Inc. 500|5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America

Increasing Demand for Business Acumen Training Catapults Growth

Orem, UT, Sept. 15, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inc. magazine ranked Acumen Learning, a leader in buiness acumen training, No. 1631 on its Inc. 500|5000 list, an annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. For more than 30 years, Inc.'s list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of one of the economy's most important segments - America's private businesses. As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Acumen Learning shares a prestigious pedigree with companys such as Intuit, Zappos, and Oracle.

News Facts

To qualify for Inc.'s list companies must have been founded and generating revenue prior to March 31, 2007. Additionally, they had to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. The minimum revenue required for 2007 is $100,000; the minimum for 2010 is $2 million. Acumen Learning's rank was based on the following:

3-year growth: 167%

2010 Revenue: $4 million

2007 Revenue: $1.5 million

"As talent and human resource leaders develop training initiatives, it should come as no surprise that senior leaders, especially when faced with economic uncertainty, prefer a course that has a direct and lasting impact on a company's ability to compete more profitably," said Acumen Learning's Director of Marketing, Mike Wright. "We consistently hear from these leaders that their training budgets are being scrutinized, that they're looking to champion training solutions that have less fluff and more rigor, and that their peers are looking to them to develop employees who are creative, decisive, and savvy. When they compare our content and approach to other training solutions on the market, they realize fairly quickly that what Acumen Learning offers makes a lot of sense to their senior leaders. Being recognized by Inc. Magazine serves as evidence that not only are we growing, but we're also helping our clients grow despite the misfortunes of the economy."

The companies represented on Inc.’s 2011's list have created 350,000 jobs over the last 3 years, and combined income among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14% from 2010.
