CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2011) - On October 12, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will present an Innovation Series event: "The New Game: How Technology Innovation is Changing How We Experience Sports." This timely discussion -- with the Patriots, Celtics and NHL Champion Bruins all in action -- will explore the trends in the intersection of sports and technology that are changing the way we interact with our favorite sporting events. In addition to an all-star list of speakers, the event will highlight four innovative early stage sports technology startups.

The evening will start with short demos from early stage companies that include:

  • StarStreet, an online site characterized as "the sports stock market;"
  • TruMedia Networks, developing tier one sports analytics solutions;
  • UberSense, helping athletes and coaches improve their game;
  • numberFire, enabling accurate predictions for Fantasy Football.
