ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2011) - National PTA announced today that the AXA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of AXA Equitable, has renewed its sponsorship of National PTA in support of students, education and family engagement.
AXA Foundation has been a Proud National Sponsor of PTA since 2005, and is the awards sponsor of National PTA's Take Your Family to School Week -- a special week in February that encourages PTAs to engage families in their schools and rewards them for their efforts. The awards are given to PTAs with the most creative and successful Take Your Family to School Week programs.

Take Your Family to School Week pays tribute to PTA's legacy of building family-school partnerships. During this special week in February, National PTA offers grants in the amount of $1,000 for PTAs to implement programs that engage families in the school community. These grants are used to build positive partnerships with teachers and families, connect parents to their children's school experiences, and give children creative ways to share what they are learning and doing in class with their families.
The next Take Your Family to School Week will be held February 12-18, 2012.
