Rudy Verner Joins Berg Hill Greenleaf & Ruscitti

Experienced Litigator Recognized for Commercial Litigation and Appellate Work

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - Oct 7, 2011) - Berg Hill Greenleaf & Ruscitti LLP (BHGR), Boulder County's largest local law firm, has announced that attorney Rudy Verner has joined the firm as an Associate.

Mr. Verner provides his experience in litigation and appeals to BHGR's commercial litigation and appellate practice groups. He represents clients in a broad range of commercial cases, including matters involving contractual and business relationships, insurance coverage, oil and gas, and other natural resource issues.

In addition, Mr. Verner is one of a handful of attorneys in Colorado who practice in the area of Media and First Amendment law, counseling television stations and other media outlets on issues pertaining to court access, open records requests, and libel and defamation.

"During our first interview I realized that Rudy attended Kenyon College with my daughter," says Managing and Founding Partner George Berg, Jr. "She told me later he was one of the smartest people she'd ever met. I've come to know she was correct."

Prior to joining BHGR, Mr. Verner was with the Denver law firm of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP where he handled litigation and appeals. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to Judge Timothy M. Tymkovich on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He also served as a law clerk for Judge Sandra I. He is admitted to practice in Colorado before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Mr. Verner was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Bicycle Colorado, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and promoting cycling in the State of Colorado.
