OfficeDrop Announces Significant iPad App Update

Adds Print From iPad and Photo Editing Features

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Oct 12, 2011) - Based on user feedback, OfficeDrop has announced two significant new updates to its scan-to-cloud iPad 2 app. The new version includes support for AirPrint (Apple's option to print documents from the iPad) and PhotoAppLink (integration with other photo editing apps).

One of the top user requests for the OfficeDrop iPad 2 app was image editing, including cropping, rotating and adding notes to scanned documents. OfficeDrop users can now get access to all of the apps listed on PhotoAppLink's website directly within OfficeDrop's iPad app. For example, customers can write notes on documents they scan using Snap and crop images using GyroCropper without leaving the OfficeDrop app.

Users also demanded support for AirPrint, Apple's wireless printing service for iPad. Now they can print documents within OfficeDrop's iPad app with a single finger swipe. Apps like FingerPrint and Printopia can help users make their existing printers AirPrint compatible.

"The success of our iPad app so far proves that small businesses are very interested in connecting their iPads to the cloud to go paperless," said Prasad Thamminneni, CEO of OfficeDrop. "Support for AirPrint and PhotoAppLink makes our app even more useful to companies, unlocking new opportunities to collaborate on documents in the cloud, or even return them to their natural state (printed, get it?)"

The new version of the iPad app also looks and feels more like the OfficeDrop iPhone app, with cosmetic fixes and direct links to support and help pages. For more information visit http://www.officedrop.com/ipad-paper-documents-to-go/
