SEMDA Announces Date for 2012 Conference

Premier Regional Gathering for the Medical Device Industry


ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Oct 19, 2011) - The Southeastern Medical Device Association's (SEMDA) 6th annual conference will take place on March 13-14, 2012. Recognized as the premier gathering for the Southeast medical device industry, the conference balances presentations by medical device companies to investors with educational programs, partnering and networking opportunities.

"In 2011 we added several new features to the Conference which received strong support," said David Hartnett, SEMDA's 2011-2012 president and Vice President of Bioscience Industry Development at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. "We plan to enhance those features, such as the two-day format, partnering and poster session, while maintaining our core offerings of education and presentations to venture capitalists."

The meeting will again be held at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center, a midtown Atlanta conference facility that offers a professional learning environment with room for presentations and meetings, complemented by state-of-the-art technology capabilities.

The SEMDA Conference is specifically designed to meet the needs of medical device industry professionals and brings together professionals from throughout the Southeast. Other highlights will include:
