Cameco Responds to Hathor Announcement

Cameco (TSX:CCO) (NYSE:CCJ) today acknowledged the announcement that Hathor Exploration Ltd. has entered into an agreement with Rio Tinto pursuant to which Rio Tinto will make an offer for all the common shares of Hathor.

Cameco is reviewing Hathor's announcement and will update shareholders when appropriate with respect to Cameco's offer.
