SS8 Selected as SINET 16 Innovator to Present at 2011 SINET Showcase

Industry and Federal Government Leaders Collaborate to Defeat Cybersecurity Threats

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 20, 2011) - SS8, a leading provider of communication analysis and lawful interception solutions, today announced that it has been selected as a SINET 16 Innovator. SS8 will present its communication analysis and lawful interception solution during the 2011 SINET Showcase, to be held October 26th, 2011 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., supported by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate. The Security Innovation Network (SINET) initiatives are designed to advance innovation and enable collaboration between the public and private sectors to defeat global cybersecurity threats.

More than 100 emerging technology companies applied and were carefully vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee for the opportunity to present innovative and potentially disruptive cybersecurity solutions to an audience of representatives from defense, homeland security, intelligence and civilian federal agencies as well as commercial, investment and research communities. SS8 will be one of sixteen companies presenting on stage.

"The quality of the companies we saw in this year's SINET 16 Innovator process was exceptional, which made selections very challenging for the steering committee. We are confident that by raising awareness of SS8 and other finalists, they will have a direct and significant impact on meeting the most pressing technology needs of Federal Government and private industry -- and ultimately, the protection of our nation's critical infrastructures and command and control systems," said Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Managing Principal of SINET.

"With high speed devices like smartphones and new IP services like voice over IP and Facebook, the challenge of communication analysis and lawful intercept is daunting for governments, law enforcement and intelligence agencies; similar to finding the proverbial needle in the haystack," said Dennis Haar, CEO of SS8. "Our selection for the SINET 16 will allow us to showcase the breakthrough approaches we have developed to aid in making these difficult challenges more manageable."
