Practical Law Company Launches Labor & Employment Service & Announces Panel of Legal Industry Leaders to Advisory Board

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Oct 25, 2011) - Practical Law Company (PLC), a provider of practical legal know-how to law firms, law departments and law schools, announced today the official launch of its newest online service for law firms, PLC Labor & Employment (PLC L&E). Like its other services, PLC L&E was designed to address the needs of frontline attorneys to help them meet client demands for greater value and increased efficiency. This announcement follows the launch earlier this month of PLC Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation.

Coinciding with its latest service, PLC also announced the addition of six new members to its Advisory Board -- a prestigious panel of expert attorneys specializing in labor and employment law. The new Advisory Board members will help PLC shape the direction of its newest service and will act as high-level consultants, advising on emerging trends and practice developments.

The new members, industry leaders in their areas of practice, include Don Dowling of White & Case; Susan Eandi of Baker & McKenzie LLP; David Grunblatt of Proskauer Rose LLP; Kevin Hishta of Ogletree Deakins; Mathew Swaya of Starbucks Corporation; and Thomas H. Wilson of Vinson & Elkins LLP.

"With the addition of this new service, we are delighted to be providing practical, up-to-date resources to lawyers involved with labor and employment matters," said Jeroen Plink, CEO of PLC US. "While we started out in the US supporting corporate and finance lawyers, it became apparent that lawyers in all practice areas are looking for ways to stop reinventing the wheel and add more value for clients. We are helping them realize these goals."

Since launching in the US in 2009, PLC's US subscribers now include approximately 70% of the Am Law 200 and over 450 legal departments. With the addition of PLC L&E, PLC now offers over 11 practice areas to law firms in addition to its law department offering for in-house counsel.
