The Election Buzz website will be powered by the company's social media monitoring and engagement solution, Meltwater Buzz. On a daily basis, this online election hub will pull stats from Twitter, blogs, message boards, online video sites and public Facebook posts to create a word cloud with 2012 election hot topic terms. A daily word cloud will also be generated for each of the top candidates, serving as a visual representation of the top themes surrounding each.

Also, weekly blog posts will further discuss insights and top news, such as debates, primaries, conversations and media coverage around key issues, scandals and policies. To analyze such events, Meltwater will use its news monitoring service, Meltwater News in addition to Meltwater Buzz.
