MIRAMAR, Fla., Nov. 29, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spirit Airlines (Nasdaq:SAVE) today marked a new chapter in Dallas/Fort Worth's history as it announced service to four new markets from DFW with $11 fares*.
Starting February 9, 2012, Spirit will offer daily non-stop service from DFW to New York LaGuardia and Atlanta. Daily non-stop service from DFW to Orlando and Boston will begin on March 22, 2012.
To celebrate, Spirit is offering $11 introductory fares* (each way based on round trip purchase) available today and tomorrow only at www.spirit.com.
Spirit currently offers non-stop service to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas and Chicago from DFW.

Quoted fare includes the base fare, any fuel surcharges, a 7.5% U.S. excise tax and Passenger Usage Fee of $16.99 per one way travel per traveling customer applies to most reservations. A lower fee of $8.99 may apply to certain discount fares. No fee applies to bookings made at Spirit Airlines' airport locations.
The quoted fare does not include the following taxes and fees that may apply to your air travel:
- September 11th Security Fee: A September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 applies per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport up to $5.00 each way.
- Domestic Segment Tax: A segment tax of $3.70 per U.S. domestic flight segment (a flight segment is defined as one takeoff and landing).
- Passenger Facility Charges (PFC): Up to $9.00 each way per traveling customer.
International Flights (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
Quoted fare includes the base fare, any fuel surcharges and a Passenger Usage Fee of $16.99 per one way travel per traveling customer applies to most international reservations excluding bookings created directly at Spirit Airlines' airport locations as well as flights originating in or departing from airports in Colombia or Panama. A lower fee of $8.99 may apply to certain discount fares.

- APHIS User Fee of up to $5.00 per traveling customer upon arrival to the U.S.
