Callout and Resource Management Expert ARCOS Promotes Duff to CEO

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - Nov 30, 2011) - Bruce Duff is the new chief executive officer of ARCOS, Inc., a developer of internet-based automated callout and resource management software for the utility industry. Duff succeeds ARCOS Founder Mitch McLeod who held the CEO role since creating the software company in 2005. For the last three years, Duff has been vice president of sales at ARCOS.

"We've built an excellent management team and have a motivated staff," said McLeod. "Our clients inherently know this. But we're providing another level of confidence when people inside and outside the company see someone promoted from within; ARCOS's leadership is, in fact, a team."

Effective immediately, McLeod will take the title of chairman of ARCOS, focus on the software company's long-range business plan and oversee the firm's executive committee. Along with tapping Duff as the company's new CEO, McLeod added the title of executive vice president to ARCOS Chief Financial Officer Molly Koch's role.

"These new titles reflect how Bruce, Molly and I have been carrying out our operational roles at ARCOS for some time," added McLeod. "My focus is now beyond day-to-day management of ARCOS; I'll spend more time researching and evaluating industry trends and mentoring the ARCOS team."

Duff has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry, including assignments across North America, Europe and Australia. Before ARCOS, Duff worked for Pathlore Software Corp., Information Dimensions, Inc. and Foresight Corp. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the "Thunderbird" School of Global Management.

Koch joined ARCOS in 2009. Before ARCOS, Koch spent more than a dozen years as president and CFO of a Hilliard, Ohio-based company. During her 30-year career, Koch has been a treasurer and vice president for a publicly held real estate development company, a director of finance and administration with Ernst & Young and an auditor. She is a graduate of Muskingum College and a certified public accountant.

Utility companies engage the ARCOS System to initiate a callout for a crew to restore power or respond to a gas leak. The system automatically takes into account the availability status and labor agreements for every worker as it assembles a crew.
