Orrvilon Announces New Partner Program for Development and Production of Advanced Materials Based Products

ORRVILLE, OH--(Marketwire - Dec 19, 2011) - Orrvilon, Inc., a subsidiary of global power generation technologies enterprise, Holtec International, is launching a new contract manufacturing initiative to assist companies looking to explore new markets for advanced materials that may not have the existing facilities, capabilities, or production capacity to do so. As specialists in aluminum, composites, and exotic alloys, Orrvilon has a 300,000 square foot plant in Orrville, OH with a unique blend of processes, people, inventory, and production area.

"We have put together a value-added package of product development and manufacturing services that should be attractive to companies interested in entering new markets without investing up front in the requisite overhead," notes Tom Haynes, Vice President of Orrvilon. "It is not just excess capacity we are offering, but unlimited expertise in advanced materials coupled with all-under-one-roof production capabilities."

Orrvilon can help companies to develop product prototypes, then to commercialize them through semi-production or full production runs. While Orrvilon has plenty of capacity to accommodate partners in this new program, it also has room to grow. It also has an exclusive combination of equipment and experts in Orrville. For instance, the plant houses one of the largest cold presses in North America (60,000 PSI, 23" x 86"). Orrvilon combines tolling, extrusion, rolling, blending, consolidation, machining and other processes at a single site. Soon, it will be adding friction stir welding and water jet cutting as well.

"I encourage anyone assessing new or existing advanced materials programs to explore product development and production options with me," says Haynes. "This is not capability that can be easily taken offshore. The processes, and the personnel to run them, is highly specialized."
