Roebuck Auctions to Conduct Commercial Real Estate and Land Auction of Large Acreage in the Memphis Area

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Dec. 22, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Roebuck Auctions (www.roebuckauctions.com) announces a land auction event featuring large acreage tracts in the Memphis area, on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 11:07am local time, according to John Roebuck, President.

"We have a tremendous opportunity here for real estate investors and developers to purchase desirable acreage in the greater Memphis area at auction prices," said Roebuck. "Our seller, Don Culbreath, has amassed several large acreage tracts and commercial properties in his portfolio and is working with his bank to liquidate assets in preparation for retirement. His bank recommended the auction method as a way to more quickly sell the property, and suggested Roebuck Auctions handle the sale."

The featured property in this land auction event is a 140 acre tract in Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park in Byhalia, Miss. This tract will be offered in parcels as small as 2 acres.

"This is a prime piece of industrial property," noted Roebuck. "It's situated right next to the proposed I-269 and Highway 385 interchange, just minutes from the Memphis International Airport and the big Toyota plant in Blue Springs."

Also up for bid in the Chickasaw Trial Industrial Park is a commercial property at 210 Quality Road. This property was constructed by renowned Memphis builder Don Willis, and has 2,700 square feet on a fenced 3.2 acre lot.

"The Quality Road property is a superb commercial property that's ready to move in and do business or add to a commercial portfolio," Roebuck said.

In addition to the acreage in Marshall County, Miss., there are also two tracts up for bid in Fayette County, Tenn. The first comprises 219 acres North of Oakland which is partially wooded and partially cultivated.

"This acreage is a sportsman's dream," noted Roebuck. "There's abundant wildlife and ample acreage for hunting and all-terrain vehicles, plus the opportunity for agricultural income."

The second property in Fayette County is a 68 acre homesite near Moscow that is fenced with rolling meadows, a nice pond and wildlife. Many upscale homes nearby provide opportunities for building a dream getaway or developing into country estates.

Finally, two commercial properties at a high-traffic intersection on Lamar in Memphis, Tenn., round out the offerings in this auction which will be conducted from the property at 210 Quality Road in Byhalia, Miss. Prospective bidders must register prior to bidding. Broker participation is encouraged. For more information, visit www.roebuckauctions.com, or call toll free (888) 763-2825.
