Haas and Bruce W. Burton as Managing Directors in its Dispute Advisory & Forensic Services Group.
Mr. Haas has over 20 years of experience as an expert witness and consultant in an array of litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property and commercial contract disputes. He has written articles and made presentations to numerous professional groups on topics including damages discovery and trial presentation, intangible asset valuation, and intellectual property licensing. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at The John Marshall Law School, where he teaches a course in intellectual property valuation.
Mr. Burton has over 30 years of experience providing litigation and other consulting services focusing primarily on commercial litigation and valuation with a special emphasis on intellectual property valuation and intellectual property litigation support. He leads teams in performing intellectual property valuations for purchase, sale, licensing, cross-licensing, tax, statutory and financial compliance, evaluating IP used as collateral, and other purposes. In addition, he has testified at trials, arbitrations or depositions on matters related to intellectual property, lost profits, other damages and/or financial fact-finding on numerous occasions. Mr. Burton also frequently teaches and speaks on intellectual property valuation, damages, and other intellectual property related topics.
