Broward County, Florida Awards Airport Ground Transportation Management Contract to SP Plus Curbside Management Joint Venture

Joint Venture to Provide Array of Curbside Services at Fort Lauderdale -- Hollywood International Airport


CHICAGO, Jan. 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SP Plus® Transportation, an operating division of Standard Parking Corporation (Nasdaq:STAN), and its joint venture partner, B&L Service, Inc., have been awarded a three-year contract by Broward County, Fla., under which SP Plus Curbside Management Joint Venture will manage and operate the ground transportation system at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The Joint Venture will manage the taxicab and consolidated commercial vehicle holding lot, taxicab, on-demand and shared ride van and limousine dispatching services and in-terminal ground transportation information booths. The Joint Venture also will coordinate the dispatching of cruise and other commercial buses and will assist in the implementation of a Commercial Vehicle Automated Vehicle Identification (CV AVI) System. The Joint Venture's services at the Airport are expected to begin on May 1, 2012.
