Synaptic Digital Taps Kevin McCarthy to Head Washington DC Office


New York, March 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Synaptic Digital, the world’s premier multichannel video creation and distribution company, today named Kevin McCarthy to the position of Director, Client Solutions, effective immediately.  Mr. McCarthy, an international news and video production expert, will be responsible for growing the business in the Washington D.C. area and will be based out of Synaptic Digital’s office at the National Press Club.

Over the past decade, Mr. McCarthy has been the owner of McCarthy Production Group, which provides broadcast television production consulting to a wide range of clients including news outlets, corporations, and government agencies. Projects include live production management for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as well as consulting on the expansion of a television facility in Kabul, Afghanistan for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Previously, Kevin worked for Synaptic Digital’s predecessor, Medialink, where he was a Senior Producer in the Live Events department providing production planning and on-site management for all aspects of live television production. Before joining Medialink, Kevin was at ABC’s News Agency WTN (now part of APTN) where as a Project Manager he was responsible for overseeing large-scale remote productions for numerous international and domestic news broadcasters. Kevin began his career working for NewSport, the first ever 24/7 sports news network created by Cablevision, where he managed the satellite coordination department.
