ROSWELL, Ga., March 5, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U.S. Security Associates Inc. (USA), a leading national provider of uniformed contract security services, recognized the efforts of one of their security officers, Anthony Geneva, in stopping a sexual assault in progress.
While doing a routine patrol of his site, Security Officer Geneva stumbled upon what appeared to be a 10-year-old female being sexually assaulted by an adult man in the stairwell. Security Officer Geneva immediately saw what was happening and put himself in a dangerous situation and immediately broke up the assault. Security Officer Geneva attempted to detain the suspect, but was unable to and the suspect fled the scene.
Security Officer Geneva dialed the Denver Police Department, which responded to the scene. Security Officer Geneva told them what happened and what he saw and they immediately searched the area. After a couple minutes they found an individual, who was suspected of committing the crime, the Denver Police detained the subject and found out that he was recently on parole and had prior felony arrests.
