Kids and Collectors Congregate In Georgia Mountains

CLEVELAND, Ga., March 7, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spring starts early this year with more eggs on order from the Easter Bunny. The Cabbage Patch Kids got a head start and invite you to come to their new home for the 24th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 31th.on 650 acres in the Georgia Mountains.

Hundreds of daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, amarilis, azaleas and Asian lilies were planted in the Fall to anticipate the crisp Spring to show off their colorful petals. Kwanzan and Yoshino flowering cherries, Peppermint and Red flowering peach trees, purple Ann Magnolias, and Japanese Maples are some of the trees getting ready to show off their blossoms and colorful foliage. The exciting atmosphere is positively blooming. The 'Kids™ are anticipating a chance to find a family to make their own.

The hospital staff has a day of activities planned for you and the 'Kids in their 70,000 sq. foot, ante bellum home from breakfast with the Easter Bunny, to an arts and crafts festival, dancing with Cabbage Patch Kid costume characters, hourly prize drawings, and a free Easter Egg hunt on the grounds of BabyLand General Hospital with 28,000 eggs. Fun hats are all the rage. If you want to be creative enter the Cabbage Patch Kid's Easter Bonnet contest at 3p.m. Every one is encouraged to make a little Easter Bonnet for their Cabbage Patch Kid. The adoptable babies, whose roots stem from the arts, understand the energy, excitement and satisfaction of creating something for those you love. The spark of creativity is so much more fun when it's shown and shared. There will be one category for children and one for adults with judging by those attending.
