Trans-Lux #18 Toyota Wins Debut NASCAR Royal Purple 300

As Sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing, Trans-Lux Victorious in First NASCAR Appearance

NORWALK, CT--(Marketwire - Mar 27, 2012) - Trans-Lux Corporation (PINKSHEETS: TNLX), a world leader in LED video display and LED lighting solutions, and recent sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing, was a winner in its first NASCAR track appearance last weekend (March 24) when Joey Logano, the young driver of the new #18 Trans-Lux Toyota Camry, won the Nationwide Series Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

"What an exciting first day as a partner of Joe Gibbs Racing on the NASCAR circuit," said J.M. Allain, President and CEO of Trans-Lux Corporation. "Our company and its employees are very pleased to be partnered with such a great organization like Joe Gibbs Racing that exemplifies a total dedication to excellence and pursuit of perfection. For Trans-Lux customers, our partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing also reinforces that we are a company that is clearly driven to succeed and on the fast track."

The Royal Purple 300 was the first race for Trans-Lux and Logano's celebration in Victory Lane marked Joe Gibbs Racing's eighth consecutive Nationwide Series win at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The 21-year-old Logano started on the pole and led 92 laps but had to fend off multiple challenges for the lead during the 300-mile race. In third spot for the final restart, he skillfully drove past two challengers during the last 12 laps to take the top position, and made it to the finish line a full second ahead of the defending series champion.

"Joe Gibbs Racing owes its success largely to our sponsor relationships, and one of the biggest joys of winning races is seeing sponsors' reactions," said Joe Gibbs, owner and founder of Job Gibbs Racing. "The win in the new Trans-Lux #18 exemplifies what's possible when you combine hard work, dedication and perseverance."

In the fall of 2012, Trans-Lux will move into the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on board the # 11 Toyota driven by Denny Hamlin in Atlanta. The affiliation with Joe Gibbs Racing is one of several initiatives to further energize the "new" Trans-Lux brand, which plays well to the company's diverse range of B2B and B2C sales initiatives. This holds especially true with NFL coaching legend Joe Gibbs' promotional activities on behalf of Trans-Lux's Fair-Play branded LED video scoreboards for the professional, collegiate and high school sports markets.
