Vote for Charlottesville in the 'Best of the Road' Contest

USA Today & Rand McNally Looking for the Best Small Towns in America

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Charlottesville is in the spotlight again, as it has been nominated as one of the 2012 Best Small Towns in America, in the "Best for Food", "Most Beautiful" and "Most Fun" categories. The public is invited to review the Charlottesville area and vote to help make it a winner on the 'Best of the Road' web site.

Rand McNally and USA TODAY have teamed up to create a community of road travelers reviewing the best stops on America's highways and byways, from small towns to the points of interest in and between them–the Best of the Road. Every year, votes are collected for the small towns the public thinks they should visit. Amateur travelers are sent across the country exploring the Best Small Towns in America, naming the Most Beautiful, Most Patriotic, Friendliest, Most Fun, and Best Small Town for Food with blogs, photos, reviews and videos. Towns will be judged by our panel of travel experts and the rally participants based on a number of criteria including the number of reviews and the nature of the reviews posted on bestoftheroad.com, the town's social participation on Facebook and Twitter and the reports filed by the rally participants.

Voting is so easy and can be done daily – Here is how:

-          Go to https://www.bestoftheroad.com/register.do and register (first visit only)

-          Review Charlottesville - http://www.bestoftheroad.com/town.do?destinationId=3742 – You may also post photos.
