American Academy of Dermatology Launches Mission Critical Global Association Portal on the iAPPS Product Suite

Association's New Web Presence Ushers in the Next Generation of Web Engagement, Setting the Stage for Strong Future Growth

BURLINGTON, Mass., April 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bridgeline Digital, Inc. (Nasdaq:BLIN), developer of the award-winning iAPPS web experience management (WEM) platform and interactive technology solutions, today announced the launch of an entirely updated and fully integrated web presence, developed for the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), built on and supported by the iAPPS Product Suite. More than a mere re-branding of the association's already successful global online presence, the new site was developed to prepare for strong future growth to support both practicing and future dermatologists. The new website is instrumental in the association's strategy to build and support an innovative, comprehensive web experience management foundation.

Bridgeline's iAPPS Product Suite is the industry's leading Web Experience Management (WEM) solution and only WEM platform available in either a SaaS or perpetual license that unifies Content Management, e-Commerce, e-Marketing, and analytics capabilities - enabling users to swiftly enhance and optimize the value of their web properties. The iAPPS Product Suite was recently selected as a finalist for two 2012 CODiE Awards and iAPPS Content Manager is a prior CODiE Award Winner for Best Content Management Solution, globally.

Bridgeline began working with the AAD in 2010 to enhance their already strong global online presence and seamlessly integrate iAPPS with their deployment of the Aptify Association Management System© (AMS). iAPPS' inherent, proven integration capability was deemed a perfect fit. Besides being remarkably easy to manage, the new AAD site also offers the online public easy access to the Association's universe of collected dermatological content, and makes optimizing, maintaining and promoting that world more accessible than ever to dermatology professionals. From exciting innovation initiatives, to exhaustive histories of the profession, to information on industry advances that promise to help all concerned visitors, this central resource promises to bring value and cohesion to the industry, as well as an exceedingly professional web experience.

Representative of custom functionality built into the site is an application for users to find a local dermatology professional. The application asks for a ZIP code and a radius within which to narrow the search, and then quickly produces a listing of all member dermatologists inside that local area. In a collaborative effort, Bridgeline and Association developers created an intuitive method of integrating the tool directly with the AAD database. The development group worked tirelessly to simplify the process of adding specific search criteria by all content managers, while iAPPS' ease of use and seamless integration made the process intuitive and effective. This type of collaboration infused and inspired the entire project, and enables cooperative development within the AAD to continue, with their own developers able to assume control of the direction and design of additional project work.
