Entrepreneurship course materials pre-loaded as Apple iPad apps provide small business entrepreneurs with unique learning experience

New Brunswick, NJ, April 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Rutgers Center for Management Development (CMD) today announced that its Entrepreneurship program is beginning as a nine-week, one-evening-per-week program starting on May 1st. All the modules and applications for the Rutgers Mini-MBA Entrepreneurship course, which will be held on the New Brunswick, New Jersey, campus, will be pre-loaded on their new iPad. The Apple iPad, which is included in the course fee, gives small business entrepreneurs the opportunity for a completely unique learning experience. Additionally, the iPad will serve as a reference guide with all of the materials necessary to help them on their business growth journey.

The Mini-MBA Entrepreneurship course is opportune for those who have already started their own businesses and want to take them to the next level, as well as those considering becoming an entrepreneur. The course, which is taught by both seasoned entrepreneurs and Rutgers faculty members, addresses the challenges and the rewards of starting a new business through practical case studies, critical analysis and years of consultative experience.

"Along with the tremendous excitement of starting a new business, there is usually much nervousness about the very high risk," said Eric Greenberg, Director, Marketing Programs, CMD, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. "Our Entrepreneurship curriculum gives attendees the tools they need to mitigate the risk, both financially and emotionally. We always stress the practical in our courses, and this course is no different - it culminates with each participant creating an actionable business plan and presenting it to a panel of investors."

Some of the topics addressed in the Entrepreneurship course include:

·         Developing and articulating your strategic positioning

·         Establishing your brand message and conveying it as a winning pitch

·         Managing your finances, including pricing your product or service, forecasting sales and projecting ROI

·         Effectively working with the optimal team - management, industry advisors and key employees

·         Understanding the legal landscape of your business

The fee for the Rutgers Mini-MBA: Entrepreneurship Program is $4,995. For those interested in academic graduate credit, a three-credit elective course waiver is available for an MBA.
