Green Planet Group Announces Strategic Partnership With SI Manufacturing

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Green Planet Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GNPG) announced today that it has formed a long-term strategic partnership with SI Manufacturing (SI) of Anaheim, California. This partnership will be the basis for the ongoing research, design and implementation of Green Planet's new hydrogen technology.

SI, which began operations in 1952, has maintained and expanded its core technical team over the years and is a recognized leader in the development and production of complex power supplies and various types of power converters. Past designs include space, industrial, military, medical and commercial applications. One major reason that SI was selected as a Green Planet's partner is that it has had an interest in developing hydrogen technology over the past three years.

Edmond Lonergan, President and CEO, stated, "With the ongoing help from SI, I am confident that we will be able to complete the design of our hydrogen unit and begin its manufacturing within the next few months." Lonergan continued, "In conjunction with our other fuel efficient, emission reducing technologies we project that we will improve fuel efficiency by at least twenty percent."

James "Bud" Reed, President and CEO of SI Manufacturing, stated, "We believe that the basic innovative design has tremendous potential in all forms of diesel or gasoline engines and that the future of this technology could generate significant revenues. We are privileged to be part of the development team for Green Planet Group."
