myVRM Appoints New Board Member


HICKSVILLE, N.Y., May 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- myVRM, the software for scheduling that enables users to quickly and easily schedule everything they need for in-person and virtual conferences with one easy to use, cost effective system, recently appointed Russell M. Artzt, vice chairman and founder of CA Technologies, as its newest board member.

Mr. Artzt has more than 30 years of IT industry experience as a technology leader, consultant and executive. He also provides counsel in the areas of strategic partnerships, product development leadership, community and public affairs, and corporate strategy. Mr. Artzt co-founded CA Technologies (formerly CA) in 1976 and wrote the code for some of the company's first products. Throughout much of his career at CA Technologies, he served as executive vice president of research and development where he was instrumental in building the R&D, and field services organizations.

Mr. Artzt is a recognized expert in software development and project management. He also serves as the Chairperson of the Advisory Board of Stony Brook University's Center of Excellence for Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Advanced Energy Research Group. In March 2008, he was inducted into the Long Island Technology Hall of Fame.

Mr. Artzt is active with many charitable organizations. He is the founder/sponsor of a research group at Mount Sinai Hospital involved in researching cures for liver diseases, is a major sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes organization and is a major supporter of North Shore University Hospital. In addition, he is a member of the Queens College Foundation Board of Trustees.

He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Queens College and a master's degree in computer science from New York University.
