SIOUX FALLS, S.D., May 30, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Raven Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq:RAVN) announced that Stephanie Herseth Sandlin will become the company's General Counsel and Vice President - Corporate Development, effective September 1, 2012. This is a new position at the company.

Ms. Herseth Sandlin served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2004-2011. Over the past year, as a partner in a law firm, she represented clients, such as Raven Industries, on legislative and regulatory matters concerning technology and innovation in agriculture, bioenergy and manufacturing. Stephanie is a member of the South Dakota Bar. She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1997 and was a law clerk for both the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota.
