Oasis Systems Appoints Chris Ford Director Program Development


LEXINGTON, Mass., May 30, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Oasis Systems, a leading provider of high-quality and high-technology solutions and services to the Department of Defense, announced today that it was appointing Chris Ford to Director Program Development, reporting to Michael McElwain, Oasis Vice President, Marketing and Business Development.

In his new senior leadership position effective May 8, 2012, Ford will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for growing Oasis business with a primary focus on the Acquisition of Consolidated Enterprise Support Services (ACCESS) IDIQ contract at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The ACCESS contract, awarded to Oasis in December of 2011, has a potential value of $950M and Ford is charged with the responsibility to maximize Oasis revenue from this contract.

In addition to his duties at WPAFB, Ford will work closely with the Oasis Leadership Team to identify, develop and obtain other broad Government-Wide Acquisitions Contracts as vehicles to position the company for further growth.

Ford joins Oasis after working for URS Federal Services as the Vice President, Aerospace and Special Projects business element based in Dayton, Ohio. Over those 4 years, Chris was a major driver in URS' rapid growth. Chris is a retired US Air Force officer who served more than 21 years as a Munitions and Missile Maintenance Officer. Operational assignments include: Plattsburgh AFB, NY; Dyess AFB, TX; Malmstrom AFB, MT; Minot AFB, ND. He also had assignments at Edwards AFB, CA, where he was a member of the B-2 Bomber Test & Evaluation Team; at Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, VA, where he served on the HQ ACC Munitions Staff; and at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, where he was a member of the F-22 System Program Office.

Chris holds a double major M.S. in Logistics Management and Acquisitions Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology; a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University; and an A.A.S in Electronics Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
