Was he Robbed? Boxing World in Turmoil Over Pacquiao-Bradley Fight According to VRB Marketing

At least one online sportsbook is refunding its members who lost money because of the controversial decision.

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, June 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sports bettors who feel like their wallets have been knocked out for the count after Manny Pacquiao unfairly lost to Timothy Bradley have something to cheer about this morning. VRB Marketing has confirmed that its partner site, SportsBettingOnline.ag, is refunding every sports bettor who lost money on the Pacquiao-Bradley fight starting today.

"Over the last few years, boxing enthusiasts have made a lot of money betting on Pacman's winning streak, so a loss in this fight would have meant that sportsbooks in general would have taken back some of that money," stated Kevin Harper, sports analyst with VRB Marketing. "However, most people believe that the outcome was wrong and ridiculous. I asked Dave Johnson, head linesman at our partner site SportsBettingOnline.ag, for his thoughts on this and to my surprise, they were already on the same page, stating that the decision didn't feel right and have moved ahead in refunding all money bet and lost on Pacquiao. I can confirm that refunds are already in progress."

The Pacquiao-Bradley fight has been one of the most controversial boxing matches in recent memory.

Harper notes that anyone who watched the fight would agree that Bradley lost and the outcome was questionable. "We felt that sportsbooks taking any money on such a questionable outcome wasn't right. We hope the players who were frustrated with their losing bets have a little something to cheer about now."

It's not just the boxing community and sports betting fans who side with Pacquiao. On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid commented, "From all the reports that I've seen by people on the outside who saw the fight, who attempted to be fair and judge the fight, Pacquiao won the fight."

All losing bets on Manny Pacquiao through SportsBettingOnline, will be refunded today. It's not the first time that the popular online sportsbook has given its members their money back for losing bets. In fact, they advertise giving back a 10% of all bets made, win or lose, to their members.
