Pune Hotel in Koregaon Park Celebrates an Evening of Wine N Dine

PUNE, INDIA--(Marketwire - Jul 3, 2012) - Courtyard by Marriott Pune City Centre, celebrated the journey of wine, as it hosted a special Wine N Dine evening at the Banyan Tree Lounge at the hotel on June 13^th.

Lit up in surreal dancing lights of amber, the Banyan Tree Lounge restaurant in Pune appealed to the senses of the guests. Celebrating the spirit of a peaceful Buddha, the ambience of the pristine 'avaroha' touched the chords of a tuneful evening.

Celebrated Sommelier Craig W. Wedge gradually guided the Pune India hotel guests through the art of understanding the finer nuances of wine; the liquid, the business, the art. Experiencing world wine embodiments, the wines showcased, journeyed through the lands of Italy, New Zealand and France.

The wines selected belonged to small family owned businesses, mastered hands from their individual regions. The driving force behind each of these wineries being a diligent focus on producing quality wines at quality pricing.

Speaking at the close of the evening Mr. Vineet Mishra, the Koregaon Park Pune hotel's General Manager said, "Wine over the years has charmed its way through the hearts of a varied set of wine appreciators. As a hotel this evening was our way of adding a new dimension towards the understanding of the drink, by bringing together experts of wine and food to create the original flavour of the world of wine and food pairings."

The hotel's Executive Chef, Chef Chanda Shekhar Pandey displayed a fine table of tastefully created delights ranging from broccoli beignets and saffron tagliatelle with macarpone and garlic confit to apricot filled chicken ballotines and aged prime fillet. The evening ended on a gorgeous note with a delicately crafted mango crème brulee, spiced berries and fennel biscotti.

The evening marked the first of a series of intimate introductions, seasoned expertise and great ambiences at the Pune business hotel.
