United States Patent & Trademark Office Issues Four Patents to IOCOM for Innovative Methods of Data Sharing and Transfer During Virtual Meetings


CHICAGO, July 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IOCOM, provider of universal video conferencing and collaboration solutions, today announced that it has been awarded four new patents, bringing their portfolio to 15, from the United States Patent & Trademark Office. IOCOM will use the patents with their video conferencing software, Visimeet.

The patents include:

  • 8,208,000 – Methods, systems and program products for managing video conferences. With this, IOCOM will further improve how meeting participants communicate.
  • 8,144,632 – Methods, systems and program products for efficient communications during data sharing event. This gives IOCOM the ability to create more efficient methods to stream data during video conferences.
  • 8,121,990 – Methods, systems and program products for communicating file modification information. This means files, and other data, can be more easily modified during video conferencing sessions.
  • 8,095,409 – Methods and program products for organizing virtual meetings are related to video conferencing technologies. This covers methods for organizing virtual meetings and inviting participants to join them.
