Troux Enterprise Portfolio Management Solutions Enable Federal Agencies to Streamline Operations and Improve Mission Effectiveness

Troux Delivers a Prescriptive Approach for Federal Agencies to Align With New Federal IT Management Vision

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Jul 24, 2012) - Troux™, the global leader in Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software, today announced its new suite of EPM Solutions for federal government, which are aimed at helping Federal agencies quickly and cost-effectively realize the vision outlined in the Office of Management and Budget's 25 Point Implementation Plan to Reform Federal IT Management.

In support of the effort to do more with less, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released policy memorandums aimed at driving efficiency across all federal agencies. The Shared First and PortfolioStat policies require agencies to annually review their IT portfolios, identify redundancies in procurement and management of commodity IT services and work toward using a shared-service delivery model. The Cloud First policy is intended to accelerate the rate of adoption of cloud technologies in federal agencies by requiring that each agency reevaluate its current IT strategy to incorporate options for safe, secure cloud technologies in their budgeting process.

U.S. CIO Steven VanRoekel states, "We will continue to eliminate duplication wherever we find it and shift spending from the costly maintenance of outdated systems to more efficient technologies." He continues, "By doing so, we can improve the delivery of mission critical services, as we work together with Congress to hold agency IT budgets in check and reduce the costs to the American people."

To help agencies execute OMB's strategies, Troux has developed a set of purposed solutions that help agency leaders and key decision makers make well-informed, evidence-based decisions. Troux's EPM Solutions for federal government provide real-time visibility across organizational, functional and data boundaries to highlight opportunities to reduce cost and risk while improving agility. More specifically, Troux can help identify where an agency is spending money and not only analyze options to invest or divest, but also determine the impact of those decisions before making recommendations. Once implemented, Troux can track the performance of corresponding initiatives over time and aggregate data that can be used to fine tune recommendations and measure success.

In addition, the Troux Accelerators Program provides a best practice framework and methodology to help agency stakeholders create and execute upon a roll-out program mapped to their mission priorities. Troux Accelerators are specifically designed to deliver value quickly and consistently, helping agencies fulfill the aggressive deadlines laid out by the OMB mandates.

"Government agencies are more focused than ever in devising ways to deliver high level cost reduction, improve agility and demonstrate real value to their agency's mission," says Ted Reynolds, Vice President, Federal Solutions Group at Troux. "Troux is well positioned to assist agencies as they look to strategically manage IT resources and maximize return on investment across all levels of the organization."

Troux has a proven track record of partnering with federal, DoD and private sector organizations to help identify and eliminate IT inefficiencies through utilizing shared services, implementing future-proof cloud-solutions and adopting evolving technologies.
