Circuit of The Americas(tm) concludes sale of general admission tickets

Remaining grandstand seats selling fast; guests encouraged to buy while supplies last Fans from 50 states and 37 foreign countries purchase tickets for inaugural USGP


Austin, Texas, Aug. 3, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Circuit of The Americas today announced that, due to overwhelming demand, it has concluded sales of three-day general admission tickets to the 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ set for Nov. 16-18 at the new world-class center for sports, business and entertainment in southeast Travis County, Texas. 

"Worldwide fan interest in the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX has been remarkable, with guests in every U.S. state and 37 foreign countries purchasing tickets since our public sales began three months ago," Circuit Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Geoff Moore said. "We've allocated the maximum number of tickets we feel comfortable selling in our general admission areas to ensure guests who will be viewing the races from the grassy berms and numerous public spaces have a great experience and easy access to services and accommodations.  Circuit of The Americas still has reserved seats available at a variety of price points in both grandstand and premium areas for fans who want the very best views we can offer. We encourage guests to buy tickets now while we have inventory and can accommodate them."

A limited number of three-day reserved grandstand bleacher seats for the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX are still available for purchase online at www.cotausgp.com or via the Ticketmaster hotline at 800.745.3000.  Additionally, VIP seats with personal seat licenses are still available in select areas and can be purchased by contacting a member of the Circuit's sales team at 512.301.6600. Sales representatives are available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CDT.
