  • IT Financial Planning, Budgeting and Reporting Best Practices: Why IT Needs Specialized Technology Planning Tools - Today's IT Finance teams face numerous impediments, such as large cost pools and extensive service catalogs. Key to their success is dynamic IT budgeting and forecasting. During this session, Jeff Yoder, ComSci's vice president of Strategic Partnerships and Global Marketing Strategies, leads a discussion on the key requirements for effective IT budgeting and forecasting. He will also share aspects of automating a "bottom's up" budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting with complete version management. Additionally, he will discuss why existing enterprise budgeting and planning tools are not adequate for articulating accurate cost and consumption data to meet the budget and forecasting demands of the modern enterprise. This session will be held on Wednesday, August 22 from 9:15 - 10:00 a.m.

  • ComSci IT Financial and Business Management Software Demonstration - Many IT Finance executives spend large amounts of time aggregating disparate data rather than analyzing and managing the business of IT Finance. In this session, Brian Stedman, vice president of Product Management, will discuss how automating the aggregation process with commercially available tools, such as those available from ComSci, significantly frees up valuable IT Finance teams to work on higher value tasks. He will also introduce the five key elements needed from IT Financial and Business Management automation tools, provide an IT financial maturity roadmap and share best practices from ComSci's more than 57,000 users. Additionally, Stedman will give a live demonstration of ComSci's IT Financial and Business Management capabilities including automated costing, budgeting and forecasting, and consumption reporting and demand management. This session will take place on Thursday, August 23 from 4:15 - 5:00 p.m.

  • ComSci's 25th Anniversary ITFMA Celebration & Reception - ComSci is hosting a reception to honor the 25th anniversary of the ITFMA. During this two-hour networking event, guests can enjoy food and drinks as well as informal conversations with their peers. In addition to networking, attendees can also learn more about ComSci's award-winning IT Financial and Business Management solutions. The reception will be held on Thursday, August 23 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

"IT financial management has undergone numerous changes over the past 25 years, and ComSci has been at the forefront of this field every step of the way," said Yoder.
