OurStage.com Announces Winners of the the Intel(R) Video "Superstars" Competition

Campaign Showcased Creators of Music Videos, Video Game Trailers and Short Films

NEW YORK, Aug. 7, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This past May, OurStage.com once again teamed up with Intel® for the Intel® Video "Superstars" Competition, a search to find the next generation of music video, video game trailer and short film creators. After two successful years focused on musicians for their Intel  "Superstars" campaign, the companies expanded their reach to a new audience of emerging video designers while giving out over $17,000 worth of tech merchandise. Today, OurStage.com announced the winners in all categories including "Dynamite Jack" a game trailer by Phil Hassey, "Long Way To Go" a music video by Marie Hines and "Forgotten Frames" a short film by Jeremy Snead.

"This is the third consecutive year OurStage supported the Intel "Superstars" platform and we are pleased to continue discovering the nation's top emerging artists and creators using our crowd-sourcing judging platform.   Our collaboration with Intel highlights the intersection between the best technology and the creative output it enables," said Ben Campbell, CEO of OurStage.com.

"Intel is thrilled with the overwhelming number of talented entries submitted for the Intel® Video "Superstars" Competition," said Michael Rivet, senior marketing manager, Software and Services Group at Intel. "This year, we expanded the Intel Superstars Program to include video competitions and the results were fantastic. The combination of technology and creativity gives everyone an opportunity to create original content and compete to become the next Intel Superstar. Congratulations to all the winners!"

Entertainment Consultant and Executive Producer said of Music Video winner, Maries Hines "The video does a great job of demonstrating overall musicality.  Almost feels live, which is hard to do in this type of shoot."

Zach Coffman, producer of "I am Zozo" was "really impressed with the effects of Jeremy Snead's 'Forgotten Frames.'  The story was creative and used the silent movie techniques wonderfully!"

David Worle, vice president of Content Acquisition at Wild Tangent Games thought Phil Hassey's "Dynamite Jack" was ready for the market, claiming it was a "very unique and engaging start to this trailer and a great sense of humor, too. I want to play this game now and put it on the WildTangent Network."

As the paths of creativity and tech converge, this competition provides a platform for independent artists to display their ingenuity and self-expression to fans of music videos, video games and film.
