Frozen Dessert Chain Plans to Raise $25,000 for Pediatric Cancer Foundation


MERCHANTVILLE, N.J., Aug. 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tasti D-Lite, the great-tasting, lower-calorie frozen dessert chain with a following among health-conscious consumers and celebrities, will announce its partnership with the Go4theGoal Foundation at their 25th anniversary celebration Friday, Sept. 7. The celebration will be held at Tasti D-Lite's Columbus Circle location, 1841 Broadway (Broadway & 60th Street) beginning at 10 AM. The public is invited to attend.

According to Donna Smith, Tasti D-Lite's VP of Marketing, "Tasti D-Lite will present G4G with a check for $2,500 at the event Sept. 7 when they announce their goal to raise a total of $25,000 for the organization." In observance of September's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Tasti D-Lite will also collect donations for Go4theGoal at the anniversary event and at the registers at their stores throughout the month of September and beyond.

All donations will benefit Go4theGoal Foundation's diverse programs that support children battling cancer, their families, pediatric oncology units in hospitals across the country as well as pediatric cancer research.
