Brenton Productions to Premiere Inspirational "Marine Dream Corvette" Episode on Wounded Vet

Two Guys Garage Will Air Program in Late August on Marine Gunnery Sergeant John Hayes and the Transformation of His 2009 Corvette Into a Dream Vehicle

SWANSEA, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 20, 2012) - Brenton Productions, producers of Two Guys Garage and Truck U on the SPEED cable TV network, will air an inspirational episode on Marine Gunnery Sergeant John Hayes who lost both legs during military service in Afghanistan. The episode, "Marine Dream Corvette," documents the transformation of Hayes' 2009 Corvette into his dream vehicle using popular automotive aftermarket products.

Hayes and his wife, Janel, flew to Tampa, Fla. in July for the taping of the episode. Hayes, who works on cars himself, assisted Two Guys Garage hosts Kevin Byrd and Willie B. in making the changes to his Corvette. The results of the modifications will air on Two Guys Garage on August 25 at 10:30 am, and will be shown again on August 26 at 9 am and 10 pm, and August 29 at 4:30 pm (all times are Eastern). A second episode on the transformation of Hayes' vehicle will appear later in the fall.

"John was honored and thrilled to work alongside the hosts of Two Guys Garage," explained John Passante, president, Brenton Productions. "We enjoyed getting to know this inspirational veteran and his wife, and we had even more fun watching him do what he loves: work on cars."

Passante explained that Hayes received a special commendation from PPG, which donated materials and personnel to help repaint his Corvette. In addition, Hayes was made an honorary host of Two Guys Garage by Brenton Productions.

While recovering from his December 28, 2010 injuries, Hayes has endured over 60 surgeries to date and remains at the newly named Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for continued treatment and physical therapy. Hayes has completed several races including the Marine Corp Marathon, a Disney half marathon and the Boston Marathon utilizing his hand bike.

Hayes is driving again with the use of hand-controls, learning to ski and plans to return to college to complete his degree. A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Hayes is to determined to live a full and active life with his wife, and three young daughters. He plans to soon retire from the military and return to Florida.
