Schipul -- The Web Marketing Company's Caitlin Kaluza to Present at PRSA Southeast District Conference

'Website Management for PR Pros' Will Show How to Take Control of Web Presence

HOUSTON, Sept. 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Web Marketing Company (www.schipul.com), a leading Web marketing and software development company, today announced that Manager of PR/Communications Caitlin Kaluza will present at the Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) Southeast District Conference next week. Kaluza's presentation, "Take Command of your Company's Website: Website Management for PR Pros," will examine why it is essential to master the science of the Web, such as analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) or risk becoming obsolete.

The theme of this year's PRSA Southeast District Conference is, "Creating Authentic Relationships in the Age of Me." The conference will emphasize the critical function of PR as relationship management in an era of instantaneous and pervasive social media.

"Website analytics and SEO have become essential skills for anyone wanting to call the shots for organizational communications," said Kaluza. "We will walk participants through how they can discover aspects of website performance metrics they've never known existed, identify the benchmarks to use and select the statistical analyses that offer the most valuable strategic insight."

Participants will also learn how to use online tools – many of which are free – to identify and research target communities and to discover what words and phrases the community uses when describing products and services. The presentation includes a basic introduction to SEO, with understandable explanations of how search engines work and why they matter.

In addition to Kaluza, PRSA Southeast District Conference presenters include Gary McCormick, APR, Fellow PRSA, who is the 2011 Immediate Past Chair of PRSA, Lee Rainie, director of the American Life Project with Pew Research Center and Nicole Goldman, senior vice president of Marketing and Publicity with Jim Henson Company.
