Featuring Economic Visionaries on Rejuvenating America

WASHINGTON, Sept. 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has announced two experts in the efforts to strengthen America's global competitiveness will headline the 2012 NACD Directorship 100 Forum. CEO and Chair of E.I. du Pont de Nemours Ellen Kullman and former U.S. Comptroller General, head of the Government Accountability Office and founder of the Comeback America initiative David Walker will speak at the November forum.

Kullman will lead a session titled "Revitalizing America," where participants will discuss how corporate directors can help restore America's leadership in the global economy. Walker will give the keynote address at the forum, "A Roadmap for the Future," explaining how getting the country's fiscal house in order is crucial to rebuilding America and what is necessary to make progress in this effort.

The NACD Directorship 100 annually recognizes those in the boardroom who significantly influence leading practices in corporate board performance and oversight. The 10th annual forum will honor boardroom and governance leaders during a gala dinner on November 27th in New York City.

"The NACD Directorship 100 places a spotlight on corporate directors who are setting the right tone in the boardroom and enabling sustainable growth and innovation," said NACD President and CEO Ken Daly. "This group exemplifies how directors are adapting to increased responsibility and bolstering investor confidence."

The NACD Directorship 100 Forum will also feature peer-to-peer knowledge exchange sessions, a networking reception and a gala dinner to celebrate the honorees.
