Gaming Standards Association (GSA) Announces Conference, Annual Meeting and Booth at G2E

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Sep 17, 2012) - The future of gaming will be at the forefront of discussion at the upcoming G2E 2012, and leading the way will be the Gaming Standards Association, the world's foremost standards-setting organization for the gaming industry. GSA will have a full schedule over the course of the tradeshow's four days, including critically important speaking sessions and GSA's Annual Meeting.

Leading experts will give voice to a "Certification Roundtable" on Monday, October 1 at 12:45 p.m. As operators push hard for certification of devices and systems to GSA standards, challenges still exist. In this session, experts will help operators and suppliers find common ground to help bring the concept of certification to reality. GSA President, Peter DeRaedt, moderates panelists:

  • Dave Daniels, Senior Director of Engineering, GLI
  • Adrian Marcu, Vice president of Global Technical Architecture, IGT
  • Mark Pace, VP of Networked Gaming Engineering and Operations, WMS
  • Russ Ristine, President, Radical Blue Gaming
  • Jeff Wyton, Chief Information Officer & Executive Director of Information Services & Technology, Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission

Then at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, GSA turns its attention to iGaming as Mario Galea, President of Random Consulting, leads attendees in a 30,000-foot look at how standards can help new operators, suppliers and regulators avoid common pitfalls.

Then, GSA holds its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 3 at 11 a.m. This important annual event brings together the top thinkers in the industry for a gathering that helps chart the course of the industry's future. This year Spielo International COO Victor Duarte keynotes, answering the question of how GSA standards have translated into success in the Canadian gaming market and how others can follow the example. Admission is free and open to the public. Visit www.gamingstandards.com for information and to RSVP in order to participate.

Throughout the tradeshow, GSA will be in booth #5028, where member volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about GSA's role in certification, online gaming and how, by using GSA standards, operators finally have the freedom to make their own dreams for gaming a reality.
