Nuxeo Sees 40% Increase in New Accounts Since Latest Platform Update, Signs Major Customers in U.S.

Open Source Content Management Platform Vendor to Showcase New Version at JavaOne in San Francisco

NEW YORK, NY and PARIS--(Marketwire - Sep 28, 2012) - Nuxeo, the provider of an open source content management platform for business applications, has experienced a sharp uptake in market response since the release of Nuxeo Platform 5.6 earlier this month. The Nuxeo Platform is a modular, extensible Java-based content management platform for building applications -- from document management to digital asset management to case management, to purpose-built content applications. Highlights of the 5.6 version, including new features for business process and workflow management, will be demonstrated at the Nuxeo booth at JavaOne in San Francisco, October 1-3, 2012.

The number of Nuxeo Platform users has been on a steady upward curve since entry into the U.S. market in 2009, but this curve spiked around the time of the Nuxeo Platform 5.6 release, a clear signal that Nuxeo's one-of-a-kind offering is fulfilling a need in a marketplace that values the ability to customize and adapt applications to unique business processes. Examples of customers that use the Nuxeo Platform as the foundation of their purpose-built applications include Electronic Arts, FICO, the U.S. Navy, Pearson Education, and Michelin Travel Partner (publisher of The Red Guide).

Customizability is the cornerstone of the Nuxeo offering, and the Nuxeo Studio toolset for configuration and customization has seen double digit adoption rates in the past year, with a sharp spike since the release of Nuxeo Platform 5.6. So far in September, there has been a 40% increase in new accounts for Nuxeo Studio compared to the same period in 2011, a key indicator that tracks consistently with revenue growth.

The key new feature of Nuxeo Platform 5.6, content routing, is an adaptive workflow engine with a high level of flexibility for both end users and application developers. With content routing and Nuxeo Studio, workflow design is faster, easier, and more flexible.

Klyff Harlley, founder of Efficeon from Brazil and formerly General Manager of IT Development at Nuxeo partner Sinax, has already started using the new workflow design tool: "Third party workflow systems don't integrate cleanly into our content management solution, so I developed a basic workflow solution for the Nuxeo Platform. Of course, my solution never achieved the level of reusability and flexibility of the new content routing feature in Nuxeo Studio Workflow. This will allow us to build the processes our clients require into our applications."

Demos of content routing and other new features in Nuxeo Platform 5.6 will be shown at the Nuxeo booth at JavaOne in San Francisco, October 1-3, 2012.

Nuxeo Platform 5.6 will also be center stage at Nuxeo World, the annual conference for Nuxeo users, partners, and community, October 25-26 in Paris.
